What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

How to use this timer?

  1. Add a task you want to work on.
  2. Start the timer and focus for 25 minutes.
  3. Take a break for 5 minutes when the alarm rings.
  4. Repeat 4 times, then take a longer break (15 min).
